Black Ops Zombies "Call of the Dead" Easter Egg Guide
Hidden Secrets Await!
When the Call of Duty: Black Ops' "Escalation" map pack's "Call of the Dead" hit Xbox 360, fans started scouring every nook and cranny in the massive new zombie map for the many hidden secrets inside this amazing map! So what hidden secrets can you possibly find in the icy depths of "Call of the Dead"?
"Call of the Dead" features an amazing, star-studded cast of characters from the horror genre and quite a few hidden secrets. There are two different Mega Easter Eggs in this map, as well as some hidden radio transmissions and a secret song to activate as well.
"Stand In" Easter Egg of Insanity on Solo
Ensemble Cast Mega Easter Egg
As with the previous map, "Ascension", the new George A. Romero inspired "Call of the Dead" map plays host to possibly the greatest Easter egg in the history of Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie Easter eggs, the Ensemble Cast Easter Egg of Insanity!
In this Easter egg, players must help the former zombie cast members (Dempsey, Richtofen, Takeo, and Nikolai) get to Paradise (we later discover Paradise is the next map "Shangri-la"). Sending you (or your team) to complete a series of tasks (find the fuse, destroy the "half-dome thingies", get Nikolai his vodka, and return the golden rod) our old friends from maps of yore will leave you a Wonder Weapon not seen since the Call of Duty: World at War Zombies map, "Der Riese"--the Wundewaffe DG-12 (and the achievements that go along with it)!
Listen to the Radio Transmissions
Hidden Radio Transmissions
Once again the team at Treyarch has left numerous military radios scattered throughout the "Call of the Dead" environment, each telling a piece of the story behind the Zombie phenomena. The hidden radio transmissions in this map contain recordings from Richtofen of the Ensemble Cast giving you clues to how they ended up in the future, trapped behind the security door on the set of George's latest movie, and also talks about the DG-12 Wundewaffe wonder weapon and more!
Official "Not Ready to Die" Music Video
Avenged Sevenfold's "Not Ready To Die"
What happened to Elena Seigman's beautiful musical contributions made famous by the many hidden songs in the Black Ops Zombies series? Elena's voice is found not in the new "Call of the Dead" map, but instead the punky metal band Avenged Sevenfold debuts their Black Ops exclusive single, "Not Ready To Die." Activated by pressing the action button on 3 hidden chunks of meteor that you can find around the map, "Not Ready To Die" provides the perfect twisted soundtrack for slaughtering hordes of the living dead!
